CSIO, Chennai centre has organised Entrepreneur’s Development Program with an objective to develop entrepreneurs in repair and maintenance of instruments. Under this program, CSIO imparts training 6 / 8 weeks to the fresh diploma and degree holders in the repair and maintenance of the instruments skills with management and financial inputs from the experts. Under Technology based Entrepreneurship Development Training Programme on Repair and Maintenance of Analytical & Biomedical Instruments 80 young participants were trained for six weeks to start up a repair & maintenance of analytical instruments with hands on experience on the instrument servicing and techno commercial aspects.
The utilization of equipments in health care is growing and requires a reasonable knowledge on the part of the user about the working principles of the instruments. Keeping this in view and available expertise and knowledge gained on bio-medical equipment and instruments training programs were conducted at various user places to decimate the appropriate knowledge, expertise with hands on experience. Training program were conducted on “”Up keeping of Biomedical Instruments for Govt. Hospital Doctors and Technicians””. The training helps in making the Doctors and Technicians concerned, aware of the technical aspects and handling precautions of the instruments they use on daily basis. The training covers maintenance aspects help them to derive the maximum benefit from the equipment at their disposal by minimizing the down time of the equipment. at various places of Tamilnadu. About 200 participants including Doctors and technicians were benefited through this training program. During the training program some of their non-working equipment brought back to the working condition Directorate of Medical Education and Directorate of Medical Services appreciated the program CSIO, Chennai centre has undertaken training program with hands on expertise on calibration with an objective to impart skills to the technicians and instrument engineers in the maintenance of the instruments with respect to Indian standards and calibration and standard operating procedures. Under ITECH/SCAAP program of Ministry of External Affairs on “”Management Development program on Energy Management Systems and instrumentation”” to international participants for six weeks. Workshops, conferences and technology awareness programs were conducted for users, manufacturers and academic and research institutions.
